Electrical systems can seem intimidating, but it’s important to have a basic knowledge of this essential part of your home to prevent emergencies. At this workshop, Electrician Sara Wilson will teach the basics of electricity in your home including:
How it works
How light switches and outlets operate
How to measure electricity with a multimeter
How to decipher your electrical panel
Most importantly, SAFETY when dealing with electricity
About the Instructor: Sara Wilson has been an industrial electrician for nearly 3 years at a company that builds automation equipment for the car industry. She attended the Tennessee College of Applied Technology at Chattanooga State. She earned 2 diplomas from the school, one in Industrial Electricity and the second in Industrial Maintenance / Mechatronics.
Payment and Registration: Payment required in advance. $65 until September 22 at 11:59 PM. $70 until September 24 at 9 PM.
What you'll need: A way to take notes, signed liability waiver to be emailed to you. If you have a multimeter that you’re unsure how to use, bring it and Sara will show you how.

Cancellation Policy: We prefer at least a 36-hour notice if a participant is unable to attend. However, we do understand that this is not always possible. Participants who are unable to attend can receive credit equal to the amount of the workshop they were going to attend, to be used within 6 months.
