Come learn how to take those thrift store and antique finds to the next level, or give your weekend carpentry project that professional finishing touch! In this workshop, you’re going to get hands-on experience learning the process of stripping wood (without all the chemicals), sanding, and refinishing wood with stain and polyurethane.
About the instructor: Heather Lacy is a self-taught artist and musician who fully embraces the DIY spirit. Born out of necessity, her diverse trade skills developed by tackling everything from roofing to tiling to auto mechanics. Heather’s love for carpentry started when she purchased a 100-year condemned home in the Highland Park area, learning everything from wood craftsmanship to interior design. Her mission is empowering women to overcome their inhibitions and be comfortable not only with power tools but also with mastering a project on their own.
