Every woman needs to know basic vehicle maintenance in case of an emergency on the road! Yes, there are roadside assistance services, but what if you don’t have cell service? At this workshop, you will learn hands-on how to fix a flat and change a tire, jump start a vehicle, and change windshield wipers. You will also get hands on experience checking the oil level and important filters, replacing a battery, and the signs that brakes need to be changed -- all so that you can prevent emergencies. You’ll also learn what tools and supplies to keep in your trunk in case of an emergency. Learn how to be prepared, stay safe and be in charge!
About the Instructor: After graduating from college as a geologist, Maggie Gilliland got her dream vehicle, a Jeep Wrangler, which she immediately took out into the woods to play with and explore. Having minimal money and basically no idea about vehicles she had to learn how to fix and maintain her Jeep so that she could play with it and still drive to work. Over 20 years later, she still has Jeeps and explores with her husband and teenage boys, who work on vehicles with her.
