Making an Upholstered Footstool

At this hands-on workshop, you will make your own unique round upholstered footstool (also known as a tuffet or ottoman). Belinda will show you how to use a bandsaw to make the base, how to upholster it, and how to add furniture feet. All you need to bring is the upholstery fabric you’d like to use—we’ll supply the rest!

About the instructor: Belinda Harford has over 30 years of experience in fixing and remodeling homes. She started learning everything from tiling, tongue and groove ceiling boards, mounting shelves, laying carpet and more from her Dad who was a building contractor. Belinda is an independent woman and mother, and has done all the projects and repairs in and around her home, including upholstery. She is also a talented artist, and infuses her creativity into furnishings that she makes for her home. Belinda has a degree in fashion design and is also a professional digitizer who travels internationally with her business marketing her designs, and developing and teaching special techniques.

Payment and Registration: Payment required in advance. $110 until October 23. $115 until October 28 at 4 PM.

What you'll need: A way to take notes, clothes you don’t mind working in, closed-toed shoes, signed liability waiver to be emailed to you.

Cancellation Policy: We prefer at least a 36-hour notice if a participant is unable to attend. However, we do understand that this is not always possible. Participants who are unable to attend can receive credit equal to the amount of the workshop they were going to attend, to be used within 6 months.
