Mother-Daughter: Wooden Hanging Planter

Come learn how to make a wooden hanging planters for succulents out of pine wood. At this workshop, you’ll get hands-on experience using a miter saw, drill with a boring bit, and orbital sander to make your own unique planter. We will provide succulents to put in your planter when it is finished!

About the Instructor: Heather Lacy is a self-taught artist and musician who fully embraces the DIY spirit. Born out of necessity, her diverse trade skills developed by tackling everything from roofing to tiling to auto mechanics. Heather’s love for carpentry started when she purchased a 100-year condemned home in the Highland Park area, learning everything from wood craftsmanship to interior design. Her mission is empowering women to overcome their inhibitions and be comfortable not only with power tools but also with mastering a project on their own.

Payment and Registration: Payment required in advance. $65 until October 21. $70 until October 27 at 4 PM.

What You’ll Need: Clothes you don’t mind working in, closed-toed shoes, way to take notes, and signed liability waiver (to be emailed to you).

Cancellation Policy: We prefer at least a 36-hour notice if a participant is unable to attend. However, we do understand that this is not always possible. Participants who are unable to attend can receive credit equal to the amount of the workshop they were going to attend, to be used within 6 months.
