What would you do if you had a tire blow out and couldn’t call someone because there was no cell service? If your answer is “I don’t know,” then this workshop is for you! Anyone who drives a car should definitely know how to change a tire, no matter their age.
At this workshop, you will physically change a tire, while being guided through all the steps and learn tips about how to stay safe while doing it. You’ll also learn how to turn the lug nuts without needing super human strength. You’ll be thrilled by the confidence you’ll gain from having the experience of changing a tire, all in a supportive and safe environment.
Meet the Instructor: Maggie Gilliland, a geologist, loves the challenge of fixing cars. She got her dream vehicle, a Jeep Wrangler, after she finished college which she immediately took out into the woods to play with and explore. Having limited funds and basically no idea about vehicles, she had to learn how to fix and maintain her Jeep so that she could play with it and have it ready to drive to work. Over 20 years later, she still loves cars and enjoys fixing vehicles with her husband and teenage sons.
Payment and Registration: Payment required in advance. $60 until October 19. $65 until October 24 at 4 PM.
What you'll need: Something to take notes with, closed-toed shoes, clothes you don’t mind working in.
